Job Summary

The HR Business Partner Intern will support various HR functions, including employee engagement, conflict resolution, and strategic talent management. They will collaborate with centers of excellence on compensation planning, training programs, and leadership development, assisting with talent acquisition and onboarding processes. This role requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, with a focus on providing high-level customer service and maintaining confidentiality.

Primary Duties

HR Business Partner: 

  • Learn about employee engagement, conflict resolution, and performance management
  • Gain exposure to strategic talent management processes, including succession planning and workforce planning
  • Analyze survey data and partner with leaders to action feedback and increase team member satisfaction 
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of employee concerns

Centers of Excellence:

  • Partner with our centers of excellence on compensation planning, analytics, and process improvement
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and planning support of training programs
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops
  • Assist in creation and enhancement of our leadership development programs
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition team to identify and engage top talent as well as assist with interview scheduling
  • Participate in an enterprise project and learn the importance of collaboration, communication, and change management
  • Assist with processing employee tuition reimbursements
  • Assist with company-wide competency building and job description refresh project 
  • Aid talent team in posting and sharing communications such as news posts on company internal site
  • Partner with talent team to refresh onboarding documents as well as maintain current programs

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Strong data literacy and analytical skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team

  • Strong technical proficiency with MS Office Suite, as well as social media platforms

  • Highly resourceful, innovative, and curious, with the ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • High level of customer service with the ability to interact with employees at all levels in the organization

Education / Experience

  • Rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a full-time, academic program at an accredited College or University pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with completion of HR courses  

  • Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources  

  • Exposure to HRMS and/or ATS systems helpful  

  • Prior HR internship or related work experience a plus
