Dayton Parts is seeking a Product Manager to join our growing team in Shiremanstown, PA! The Product Manager establishes direction, project timetables and priorities as they relate to the company’s business objectives and goals. Primary Duties:

  • Plan and coordinate research and creation of superior catalogs pertaining to assigned product lines.
  • Evaluate competitor programs, prices, and policies to assure company programs are competitive.
  • Produce and provide for publication price list databases.
  • Monitor, confer with and coordinate with other departments to assure availability, profitability and continuity in assigned product lines.
  • New product development - Gather, evaluate and analyze data necessary to facilitate product, product line and product line segment additions or deletion. Determine viability of products as they relate to prescribed business objectives.
  • Research and maintain competitive and OEM interchange data.
  • Disseminate technical knowledge to technical and training personnel as it pertains to product line.
  • Represent Dayton Parts at industry trade shows, association meetings, customer events, etc.
  • Assist field personnel on customer visits to promote company products and services, gather marketing information and maintain personal contact with essential distribution.
  • Confer with customer and field personnel to interpret and define policy and programs, provide technical assistance, and product knowledge.
  • Supervise part documentation. (Sample acquisition, blueprinting, proofing, historical data maintenance).
  • Review quotations to assure product line profitability.



  • Exceptional Knowledge of sales, marketing, and development processes.
  • Strong leadership, sales support, project management and training skills.
  • Should be an expert in forward thinking, market research, and should possess problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills including demonstration skills and be able to handle many assignments simultaneously.
  • AS400 and Access Database knowledge a plus.


Education or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Product Management, Marketing, Product Engineering or Strategic sourcing with a strong focus on new product.
