Job Summary
Direct, supervise and coordinate production and operations within the hybrid battery remanufacturing facility.
Primary Duties
- Communicate (lead by example) mission, vision, and values
- Provide clear direction and ensure all tasks are performed as intended
- Implement & enforce quality metrics with assistance from quality team
- Maintains fair and consistent application of all company policies and procedures
- Assist leadership in driving and accomplishing key performance indicators
- Resolve personnel issues or conflicts
- Resolve product, process and equipment issues
- Plan and prioritize daily job assignments
- Assist in the hiring process and new associate orientation
- Perform job related administrative duties, including reporting and coordinating meetings
- Demonstrates a proactive and creative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Key Accountabilities:
- Search out, recommend and implement process improvements, including, but not limited to 5S & Housekeeping improvements, production layout, etc.
- Leads and/or facilitates improvement efforts/special projects related to production, quality, safety, etc.
- Maintains working knowledge of production schedules, costs, quality, safety, material utilization, and productivity. Develops and coordinates production/maintenance schedules and human resource planning. Develops necessary controls to monitor these areas. Optimizes flexibility of human resources, processes and equipment.
- Work with technicians and engineering on implementation of new technologies
- Train, coach and mentor to develop associates through effective use of the Performance Management Process and Wage Reviews Program
- Confers with management to develop budget and cost controls
- Enforce process control & accountability
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership ability, strong technical ability, and assembly/manufacturing experience. Experience in a remanufacturing facility, desirable
- Proven experience leading a team in a production environment
- Technical knowledge of electrical/electronic products highly desired
- Experience working with technicians and engineering on new product development
- Strong comprehension of manufacturing quality process, including in-process inspection, End-Of-Line testing
- Experience developing a manufacturing process, end-to-end
- Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Certification desirable
- Basic computer software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, including Excel)
- Demonstrated competencies, including: emotional self-control, empathy, service orientation, achievement, developing others, influence and teamwork
- Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up 60 pounds on a regular basis
- Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months.
Education / Experience
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
- Five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
