Production Lead

Perform activities related to production of driveshafts

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and utilize proper PPE as instructed.
• Provide verbal and written instructions to technicians.
• Expert in production systems via computers, tablets, scanners, etc.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of multiple work areas, tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform and assign general maintenance on machinery and tools in all stations.
• Plan and carry out all training of new team members as assigned.
• Track the daily performance of assigned shift, for both individual and team productivity and quality goals.
• Track and manage quarantined product and schedule and perform rework.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through communicating with all departments regarding material and product.
• Evaluate and recommend process and product continuous improvement opportunities.
• Ensure production flow remains balanced.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Have good organizational, communication and math skills.
• Advanced mechanical skills with machinery and tools.
• Basic computer skills including internet and scanning systems.
• Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Production floor temperature may reach up to 90+ degrees during the summer months.
