Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as a Forklift Operator (Order Processor) where your commitment to safe and efficient warehouse operations will be valued every day. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with a competitive hourly wage of $21.00. You will play a vital role in supporting our logistics and material handling processes, contributing to the seamless flow of goods within our organization.

Primary Duties

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment including pallet jacks and hand trucks to transport, stack, and arrange inventory in compliance with all safety standards.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and label customer orders, ensuring that all products meet quality specifications and are prepared for timely shipment.
  • Continuously monitor and maintain inventory accuracy by performing routine cycle counts and updating the inventory management system to reflect real-time stock levels.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse team members and supervisors to efficiently prioritize daily tasks, ensuring all shipping and receiving deadlines are consistently met.
  • Conduct pre-operation equipment inspections and promptly communicate any maintenance requirements or safety issues to the appropriate departments, fostering a safe working environment.
  • Adhere rigorously to safety policies and procedures, including proper load securing, signaling, and equipment operation methods designed to minimize workplace risks and accidents.
  • Support loading and unloading activities for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring shipment contents are accurately documented and verified against shipping manifests.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, safety training sessions, and cross-functional team meetings to enhance operational efficiency and safety compliance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery within a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment, with a proven track record of safe operation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulatory compliance, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety guidelines, operational manuals, and procedural instructions accurately.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precise order picking, packing, and inventory tracking.
  • Physically capable of performing tasks that involve lifting heavy items, standing, and walking for extended periods during shifts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate teamwork and coordination within a diverse group of colleagues.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer proficiency to support data entry and inventory updates is advantageous.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Candidates must have prior experience as a forklift operator or order processor in a warehouse setting, with necessary certification or licensing for forklift operation strongly preferred. Commitment to workplace safety, reliability, professionalism, and effective teamwork is essential for success in this role.

The US base rate for this full-time position is 21.00. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
