Manager, Heavy-Duty Channel Marketing

The Channel Marketing Manager is an essential part of Dorman’s Customer Marketing team, which enables our direct customers to sell our products more effectively through their channels. The Channel Marketing Manager will drive the development and deployment of our customer marketing strategy within our heavy-duty customer channel.  The customer marketing manager is responsible for supporting our sales organization in gaining distribution (B2B) and driving demand for our products among part installers and owner/operators (B2C).  This includes content marketing, marketing campaign development, promotions, digital content syndication, and support of our training programs.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Works with Sales, Product, and Category managers to develop and execute the Heavy-Duty Truck channel marketing strategy.
  • Creates channel marketing strategies and campaigns targeting distributors and large fleet opportunities.
  • Works with Events & Training to execute technician, sales, and distributor professional training programs.
  • Lead a channel Heavy Duty segmentation exercise to better define the Heavy-Duty Truck customer and map out the purchase journey.
  • Designs and implements metrics to analyze and quantify ROI of marketing activities.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in channel marketing focused roles with demonstrable evidence of driving continuous improvement and strategic alignment
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills. Must be able to influence and persuade senior executives, provide clear project guidance to stakeholders, and collaborate and lead cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue, new markets and sales acceleration with innovative channel marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to think and manage strategically with a strong tendency towards analytics and analysis


Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years working in a Product Marketing, Channel Marketing, or similar role. Heavy Duty experience strongly preferred.
